NZ Rally works with Churches to support their Rally Ministry
Church
The church plays a vital role in supporting and nurturing the ministry of NZ Rally within its local setting. By including Rally Leaders in the wider church vision and showing ongoing care and encouragement, the church helps ensure that leaders feel valued and equipped for ministry. Upholding strong standards through child protection, health, and safety policies also creates a secure environment for every child and volunteer involved.
The church is also responsible for appointing capable Key Leaders and Support Leaders, clearly defining their roles, and resourcing them well. This includes providing suitable facilities, allocating a budget, and promoting the use of NZ Rally resources. Beyond practical support, the church fosters engagement by encouraging the congregation to connect with local families and children—both those already part of the church and those in the wider community—so that Rally can serve as a meaningful bridge into the church’s broader ministry and mission.
NZ Rally
NZ Rally exists to support and strengthen local church Rally ministries across the country. It seeks to connect with church leaders and represent the ministry at regional and national levels, fostering networks where ideas and encouragement can be shared. By keeping stakeholders informed and appreciated, and by helping Rally Leaders connect families into their wider church communities, NZ Rally helps build a cohesive and vibrant nationwide ministry network.
NZ Rally also works to attract and equip. It protects the trusted Rally name while providing promotional initiatives such as advertising, trailers, and online resources to help churches reach local kids and families. Through a wide range of materials—from biblical teaching resources to life skills tools—NZ Rally equips leaders to share Christian values effectively. Training is central to its mission, offering ongoing development for existing leaders, training for cadet leaders, and guidance for new Rally start-ups, ensuring every local Rally is led with confidence, care, and commitment.
Rally Ministry
The local Rally ministry puts faith into action by using the resources and training provided by both NZ Rally and the local church to run an engaging, well-supported program. By sharing ideas with other Rallies and creating activities that connect with kids and their families, the ministry seeks to attract new participants while strengthening existing relationships within the church and community.
At the heart of the ministry is its motto—preparing kids for life, life with Jesus, and life for others. Through Bible-based teaching and practical life-skill development, leaders help children grow in their faith, learn to use God’s Word, and live out Jesus’ love in everyday life. Local Rally Leaders also nurture young cadet leaders and actively engage with parents and families, helping to connect them into the wider church family and making it easy for every child and family to encounter the life-changing message of Jesus.
